Ethnic Armenians flee Karabakh after breakaway region's defeat
3,000 ethnic Armenians have fled the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, and more than 100,000 could follow.
Azerbaijan says it will reintegrate the Armenian residents and give them equal rights, but Armenian officials say they fear ethnic cleansing.
Meanwhile Russia, which has had peacekeepers on the ground for several years, says it still considers Armenia an ally.
