Republican Jim Jordan pushes for vote to end US speaker chaos... while still short votes

The United States' congress is set to vote on a new house speaker after Republicans settled on Ohio Republican representative Jim Jordan, who chairs the judiciary committee investigating President Joe Biden.

But Mr Jordan will need to flip 50 members of his own party who voted against him if he's to fill the speaker's chair, that has now been vacant for two weeks.
